Shani Webb

As a young child Shani Webb has always had a love of children. Her first experience working with children was when she was 11 years old and she volunteered at a local daycare center. As she got older she would babysit for family and friends and during that time she knew that this is something that she truly enjoyed. Shani was presented with an opportunity to become a community volunteer with Southeast Head Start in Detroit. Supervisors were so impressed with her skill and dependability, she was offered a job as a substitute teacher. She substituted for two years and then was offered a job as a assistantteacher in 2003.

Really having a love for the children and teaching she decided she wanted to make it a career choice. She attended Kaplan University in 2008 and graduated with her Associates in Early Childhood education. Taking a break for a year she then went back and received her Bachelors in Human Services. She worked with Head Start for 15+years helping shape and mold young minds. Being so passionate about education and knowing that these first years of a child are so precious, she wanted to step outside of the regular 9 to 5 and begin to build her own empire.

In 2016 Shani opened Shani’s Brilliant Minds Learning Center in Eastpointe from her home. Working from her home has also always been a dream. So having the opportunity to work from home and with children is a double blessing. Shani is dedicated to providing a quality program for children and families.
